THE U.V.A. ELECTRIC STERILIZERS are constructed entirely in AISI 430 stainless steel,
with a smoked plexi glass door that retains ultraviolet rays.
The knife holder is made of transparent plexiglass and
is completely removable for a better clean and allows the sterilisation
of the knives without having to rotate them;
an exclusive basin is incorporated into the knife holder in the 24W model to collect drips.
The mercury vapour lamps, controlled by a 0-120 min. timer, are protected by a metal grill
and a safety microswitch that shuts off the lamps when the door is opened, and vice versa
when the door is closed, preventing the escape of UV rays.
The courtesy lamp for the 24W model only turns itself on if the switch is in the "ON" position
and the timer is at "0".
